2nd graders watching the eagle

The 2nd Graders at Watauga Elementary School have been watching the ETSU Bald Eagles. Students will become amateur bird watchers during the next few months!  They watch as the Bald Eagles prepare their nests, lay their eggs, care for their chicks, and introduce their young eagles to flight. Students learn interesting facts about the Bald Eagle. This spring students will have the opportunity to make bird feeders and create models of an eagle’s nest for a STEM project. The live eagle cams streamed by the ETSU Biology department provide students with first-hand facts about the habitat and life cycle of these birds.
