Today, SkillsUSA officers held an awards ceremony.
Congratulations to the WCCTEC SkillsUSA students that placed in their respective competitions. Best of luck to those who are going on to State!





WCPS is excited to be preparing for the upcoming Solar Eclipse. We want to iterate that schools will be open on Apr. 8 as we engage in this very teachable moment. All students will receive glasses for viewing the eclipse safely and our staff is working hard to ensure that this is a memorable event. @WashCoSuper #WashingtonWay


Students in Cosmetology classes learned about the bones and muscles in the face. To demonstrate their knowledge, they painted mannequin heads with muscles on one side and bones on the other.

The Damascus Middle School Sixth Grade Mental Math Bee was held on Thursday, March 21. The following students represented their homerooms: Draven R., Kinzley D., Kasen F., Westin J., Carson M., Hunter S., Carter S., Anthony K., and Henry W. The winner of the 2024 Mental Math Bee, Carter S., had his grandfather in attendance to support him! @WashCoSuper #WashingtonWay


Career strategies students in Mrs. Smith's Drafting rotation tested their marshmallow catapults today. Students were given 2 plastic cups, 2 plastic spoons, 4 rubber bands, 2 paper clips, a piece of cardboard, and 36" of masking tape to construct a catapult to launch a marshmallow 10 feet. The farthest launch today was 26 feet!
