Summer Enrichment Experience at Virginia Tech
The deadline to apply for SEE VT has been extended to April 15, and all fees have been waived, meaning this incredible opportunity is now free for all campers! SEE VT is a residential camp for rising 6th and 7th grade gifted students from rural communities. At SEE VT, rural middle school students will have access to place-based and rural-focused academic enrichment to include STEM and humanities courses, social activities, exploration of campus life, field trips, and more!
Camp will be held on Virginia Tech's Blacksburg campus June 15-20, 2025. Applications are due by April 15.

The Wallace Middle School baseball game that had been rescheduled for today (4/1) is now canceled.


Spring Pictures are on Friday, April 11. Pictures are preorder only, and picture forms can be picked up in the main office. Spring Sports (baseball, softball, and track) pictures will also be taken that day.


A Mobile Dairy Lab will be set up in the back parking lot at WMS on Thursday, 4/3/25. The back parking lot will be blocked off until approximately 2:45 PM. No one should arrive for car-rider dismissal until 2:45 PM


WMS Baseball game originally scheduled for Monday (3/31) has been postponed until tomorrow, April 1st.


Mia Adkins was one of the winners for this year's Optimist Essay contest hosted by the Optimist International Club of Bristol TN/VA! She was recognized and presented with a certificate and award at today's luncheon. We are so proud of Mia. Congratulations, Mia!

18th Annual PAWS Campaign (Providing Animals With Support) for the Washington County Animal Shelter


All Candy Bar Fundraiser money is due today 3/21.

B. Hagy won the character incentive award drawing for representing great character. Ms. Wilson won the staff drawing. They both won 2 tickets to the Food City 500 and the Xfinity 300 courtesy of our community partners at Bristol Motor Speedway!


EO's THC Community Event tonight! This event will be March 20th from 5:30 to 8:00 at EO Careers Commons. This event is for anyone in our community and food will be provided for everyone who attends. Families can pre register by scanning the QR code at the bottom of the flyer. Everyone who pre-registers will be entered to win a $200 gift card! We will also have other giveaways and $50 gift cards to give away for those who don't pre register but still attend. This is also a great opportunity to tour Career Commons and learn more about some of our community partners.

CTE Exploring Pathways Camp! Camp is open to 5th, 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students in Washington County Public Schools. It will be held June 9 - 13 from 8:30-12:30 daily. Breakfast and Lunch will be provided.
Campers will choose four classes to rotate through each day. If these classes fill up, they will be asked to select two additional classes as alternatives. The deadline for registration is May 9, 2025.


6th grade science students recently learned about water properties and the importance of watershed health. Students additionally learned about human impacts on watersheds. At the end of the unit, students took action to make their own water conservation and watershed protection posters to hang around the school!

Just a reminder that JSB Counselors will be holding a scheduling presentation tonight (3/11), at 6:00 in the JSB auditorium, for rising freshmen and parents. We look forward to seeing you.
